This was my first VBS ever and the very beginning of this model.

The Village
The 1991 VBS was a first temp to break into BIG decorations. We constructed a first century village on the "back forty" of the parish campus. Of course, we had to scuttle all this hard work after the first day as it rained all week! Never again have I done a VBS in June in the Bay Area!
Ironically, we never created a tee-shirt for this year. We should have created parkas! -

US Navy
During these years I served on a US Marine Corps. base in southern California as an active duty Navy Chaplain. Although I did not design a VBS program during these years, I did participate in VBS leading music for the base VBS program.
