Decorations for Beauty VBS
Beauty Decorations
Decorations bring the WOW to VBS and the wonder in the eyes of our campers. Letting your artists and teens explore their creativity is truly a wonder to behold.
First up, paper the walls!
We purchase “Seamless Paper” which is a 36’ long roll of thick paper 9’ tall. This canvas allow us to to create the space and provides a bit of symmetry to the decorations design. There are cheaper alternatives, and coming in on Monday morning to get ready for campers, it is a real bummer to see your wall on the ground. Since moving to the seamless paper we have never had a wall collapse.
Enter the forest, then Beast’s castle
The trees took an enormous amount of time to construct, along with lots of burnt fingers from the Hot glue guns. the set an effective mood for entering the castle however!
The Sanctuary
The first task was to build a wall across the back end of the sanctuary. The doors on the far ends of the wall (not pictured open) had to swig out to allow traffic on the aisle. The two large windows in the wall were needed as we fill this space with parent’s picking up their kids as well as on VBS Sunday. The front doors of the castle displayed some magnificent artwork! The doors are just paint on plywood. The transom is cardboard and tissue! Stunning!
Beauty was the VBS of art!
The primary decoration for this VBS was artwork. Pictures and tapestries lined the walls of Beast's castle. The staff painted for hours and hours to get them done!
